2-day Bus Trips

Miramar offers many 2-day weekend trips during the ski season.  These are always non-holiday trips (Holidays are usually 3-day bus trips)

A 2-day bus trip leaves NYC on Friday evening and returns on Sunday night.  You get 2 days of skiing which is why we call it a 2-day trip.

Click for Bus Information including pickup locations and check-in instructions.

FOR RESERVATIONS on our regular 2-day bus trips call 212-978-9191 (24 hour answering service) starting Saturday for the following weekend. Trip leader will call back all guests on Tuesday evening to confirm and answer any questions.

When you call, speak slowly and clearly and give all of the following information:

  • Say and spell your name.
  • Your Miramar membership number or indicate that you're a guest.
  • Your daytime phone number.
  • Your evening phone number.
  • Say and spell names of any additional people you're calling on behalf of
  • SPECIAL MEALSIndicate regular, "no red meat" or vegetarian.  THIS MUST BE DONE AT TIME OF RESERVATION!

Members: You have priority until 5 PM Tuesday. You’re on the trip, unless called back*, and provided you have paid your dues.

Guests: Sorry, a guest may not go on a trip by driving directly to Miramar's lodge from elsewhere.  Guests must ride on the bus leaving from NY City,  Long Island (NEW!!) or Ramsey, NJ. The only exception is for Guests accompanied by a member.

*For trips that are oversubscribed by member reservations received by Monday noon, the trip leader will "bump" reservations by lottery. Reservations by members "bumped" from a previous weekend and by members with club service will not be included in the lottery.

Juniors over 12 are permitted on bus trips as last priority, except for designated family weekends. Guests may not bring children under 18 years.

We want to ski with you!  So if a trip is full, try again. Non-holiday trips have the most room.

All meals (except the buffet dinner on Sunday) are cooked by the club’s own chef and served family style in our dining room in the lodge.  The meals are BIG.  Nobody goes away hungry!

At the time that you register for the trip you MUST inform the trip leader if you would prefer a special type of meal (either vegetarian or “no red meat”).  This cannot be done at meal time as the food shopping is done prior to our arrival.

Other things you should know about our trips

  •  There is no smoking in the lodge or on the bus.

  • There is a toilet on the bus

  •  Most people bring their own food/beverages for the ride up on Friday.  We make only a 20 minute stop in a rest area that is often very crowded and with limited food choices.

  •  Clean sheets and towels are provided by the club

  •  Most rooms have 2-beds & a sink. Two rooms share a connecting bathroom/shower.  On full trips we use the two 6-person rooms.  Rooms are assigned by the trip leader.  You cannot request a single room.

  •  Bring cash or checks to pay for your trip and lift tickets.

  •  All skis and poles should be in a ski bag which will remain on the bus overnight.  Please only pack skis and poles in that bag as you will not have access to it until we arrive at the ski area in the morning.
